Emily will be presenting the youth perspective on the opportunities available in the Territory and how these compare with other places in Australia in hopes to encourage new initiatives for young people. As someone who relocated due to the employment opportunities for her parents, Emily wanted to share those experiences and what that has meant for her moving forward.

Passionate about the Territory and the opportunities available to those that seek to find them, Fletcher aims to showcase the beauty of the Territory following the key messages in alignment with Boundless Possible. With the support of Boundless Possible, Fletcher has developed a video to promote Keltikka Performance Dance Company. This video showcases the modern Territory, promotes and celebrates the cultural diversity and most importantly, promotes the sense of community that the Territory has.
Darwin Region
Pauline will be sharing the work she has been doing to create cultural calendars for Foster Carers. The purpose of these calendars is to support carers to have access to the information to encourage cultural connection for the children in their care. Presenting a template specific to Tiwi, Pauline will showcase how this template can be adapted for other cultural groups across the Territory.
Darwin Region
Samuel will be sharing his research into the current rates of youth engagements within politics and ideas on how we can increase those numbers. Samuel hopes to open discussions on the benefits for both young people and of Government in encouraging youth participation within politics.
Nhulunbuy Region
Ben will be presenting the youth perspective on the Rocket Launch happening in Nhulunbuy. Ben wants to highlight the ways in which ventures such as these can benefit the community and encourage young people to consider career pathways. Ben wants to open discussion on supporting young people of Nhulunbuy to attend the Rocket Launch when it happens.
Nhulunbuy Region
Emma and Isabel have been working on raising awareness of sexual health with young people and the importance of healthy relationships. Acknowledging that the Territory has one of the highest rates of STIs in the country and seeing the impacts of unhealthy relationships, Emma and Isabel have worked towards ways to change this. Through consultations with various programs and health clinics, Emma and Isabel have worked on revamping health promotional material to be appropriate and engaging with young people to help raise awareness of STIs and healthy relationships.
Alice Springs Region
Hannah has put together a proposal of implementing recycling vending machines in Alice Springs and across the Territory to create a self-sufficient recycling system for the community in aims to increase community participation and make positive change towards the environment.
Alice Springs Region
Sean will be showcasing a music event, the Alice Springs “YAMfest”, he assisted with in collaboration with Alice Springs Town Council and Music NT. A music event designed for young people, Sean will share his reflections and learnings of his experiences working with other organisations when coordinating events with young people and ways to encourage youth engagement through the planning stages.
Alice Springs Region
Augustine will be showcasing an event she coordinated in Alice Springs that aims to celebrate and promote Body Positivity in young people. This event shared the “Embrace” documentary with her peers and conversations were held between young people to see the beauty in themselves
Alice Springs Region
Concerned with how much water is used within a central desert area, Enoch has been looking into ways to conserve water for community members of Alice Springs. Enoch will be presenting information on Dual-Flush toilets and seeks to discuss on how this could be an initiative implemented into Alice Springs to help reduce water waste.
