What is National Youth Week?
NYW is an annual event held around April each year in every Australian State and Territory. In the Northern Territory it has become our largest celebration of Youth allowing young people to get involved, have fun and participate in loads of events and activities.
Are you running an event or activity for NYW 2012?
Make sure you register your event or activity for NYW 2012, and this will ensure that your event is promoted on the National website calendar of events available at www.youthweek.com on the OYA Calendar of Events www.youth.nt.gov.au/calendar.

The NT’s NYW Young Member
The role of the Young Member is to make sure there is a youth perspective in the planning of NYW across the country, promote NYW through the media and encourage young Territorians to get involved and have fun!

How you can get involved?
To enhance the level of involvement of young people in the planning and organisation of local activities establish a regional coordination committee in your region. Your business, organisation or agency can also makes sure that young Territorians are involved in the planning and running of activities that they're interested in!

How can I get involved in Youth Week?
Hosting your own event is a great way to be involved. There are no registration costs to become an official event organiser. All you need to do is cover the costs of running an event and register the event with the Office of Youth Affairs.
